Groups

When I think of the adjourning stage,  I think of wrapping things up and bringing it to a close. I remember there was a time when I was in a group/team that I truly loved. It was hard to leave the group because of the bond we built by working together everyday. We had obstacles can got in our way, but we stuck together no matter what. I was very heart broken when the team was broken up and sent to various location to work with other teachers and assistants. My teacher assistant and I worked great together and because of that, we were broken up and sent to other schools. I then had to learn not to get too attached to people I work with because we may not always work together.

As a team, we decided to that for our last day together, we were going to go out to eat. We really enjoyed ourselves but realize things are not going to be the same. We still keep in touch with each other and go out every once in awhile. The new team who we work with I constantly fight with each other and that's not something I am use too.

Now that I am in my masters program, I have built friendships and met colleagues who are great. It is hard to interact with each other because most of us live across the country. As my masters experience is coming to a close within the next two months, I hope that I can keep in touch with some of my classmates who I have met along the way.

  1. Hi Ashley,
I feel the same way about not being able to form relationships because you do not know what is going to happen. The last 3 years that I have worked as a Kindergarten teacher, I have worked with different people every year. Nothing is more frustrating than having to form new relationships, new rules, getting to know people's styles every single year at the beginning of the school year.
